Blak & Deadly The First Nations Gala

As producing partner for Blak & Deadly: The First Nations Gala, we helped Sydney WorldPride celebrate and showcase First Nations talent from across the globe. Made by and for First Nations people, it was the only Sydney WorldPride event staged at the Sydney Opera House.

Delivery

The night began with a traditional Smoking Ceremony, welcoming VIP guests to foyers alive with color, food, and music.

On stage, a powerful lineup of local and international First Nations artists showcased the community's depth and diversity. Act 1 saw artists performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Sydney Philharmonia Choir. Act 2 came alive with contemporary song, dance, and expressive lighting.

A show of this scale required flawless execution.

With a large cast and limited theatre time, we managed a highly complex schedule—balancing rehearsals, technical production, and live performance.

Through deep collaboration with Sydney WorldPride, artists, and their teams, we delivered a seamless experience. The performance was glittering, emotional, and unforgettable, resonating strongly with both First Nations audiences and the LGBTQIA+ community.
