Not only do we love being event professionals, we love being attendees as well! Enjoying an event as an attendee allows us to learn about the industry and have fun at the same time. Here are a few of our personal favorite events:
TechFestNW is a three-day tech conference held annually in Portland. As an agency that serves many tech clients, we try to stay up-to-date on tech trends, so we attended the sixth annual TFNW in March. Team members learned about storytelling through virtual reality, building trust in the tech industry and how technology is affecting the political landscape. We can’t wait to see what will be covered at TFNW 2018!
Meet MusicfestNW, TechFestNW’s musical cousin. Project Pabst sponsors this two-day, two-stage music festival. This year, it’s going down at the Portland Waterfront on August 26 and 27, and will feature artists including Spoon, Beck, and Iggy Pop. Sunscreen is required, beer cozies are optional.
NCAA Final Four
Our office is full of University of Oregon and Gonzaga University alumni. Both teams made it to the men’s NCAA Final Four in 2017. A few of our employees booked last-minute flights and bought tickets for the games! Gonzaga even advanced to the final game of the tournament (and some employees are still salty that they didn’t win it all). Still, go Ducks and go Zags!
Corporate Marketing Event Association (CEMA) Summit
CEMA Summit is an ideal setting for our team to learn from and connect with other event marketing professionals. Last year, our COO Dena Lowery presented at two separate breakout sessions. You can catch her and a few other Maestros at CEMA Summit 2017 in San Diego later this summer.
