Caryn Mambro Talks AI with BizBash

From immersive, generative experiences to real-time personalization, Caryn shares how AI amplifies the human touch.

AI has moved beyond novelty in the events industry and is becoming an essential creative partner.

In a new BizBash article, “6 Unexpected Ways Event Profs Are Using AI Right Now,” Chief Creative Officer Caryn Mambro shares how Opus Agency is using AI to design deeply personal, immersive moments.

One activation invited attendees to share their personal aspirations via touchscreen prompts, which triggered a generative AI system to create unique imagery in real time. These visuals were then projected onto a large-scale sculptural LED structure, surrounded by reflective flooring, dynamic lighting, and immersive sound design, allowing participants to literally step into a representation of their own potential.

“We’ve worked with partners like Gramercy Tech to build some incredible interactive AI worlds," says Mambro. "We’ve designed portrait portals that create AI-generated avatars, text-to-image immersive spaces, and even animated wayfinding characters that appear in AR when attendees scan hidden codes through the event.”

Caryn also discusses how Opus Agency leverages AI in prototyping, creating high-fidelity visualizations for client pitches, and RFP development to ensure conceptual narratives stay on track.

“AI can analyze reference materials to identify areas needing more customization, complete with suggestions for why and how,” she explains. “We use AI-generated imagery to communicate rough concepts to clients, sharing concepts for environmental structures, moods, lighting, and signage.”

Her insights join a wide range of inventive applications—from biometric reaction tracking to AI-powered olfactory activations—that prove AI’s greatest role in events is amplifying creativity and connection.
